Leaders who have travelled to Kigali for the inauguration include the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, who is also the Chairperson of the East African Community, Gen. Umaro Sissoco Embalo, the President of Guinea Bissau, and Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa, the President of Zimbabwe. Prime Minister of Senegal Ousmane Sonko, also jetted in Rwanda to attend the inauguration. President of Gabon, Brice Oligui Nguema, Ivory Coast Vice President, Tiemoko Meyliet Koné, São Tomé and Príncipe Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada,and General Mamadi Doumbouya President of Guinea arrived in Rwanda. Other Heads of State who jetted in Rwanda in the evening, to attend the Presidential Inauguration are; Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo, President of Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadéra and Faure Gnassingbé, President of Togo. King Mswati III of Eswatini also arrived in Rwanda ahead of President Paul Kagame’s inauguration. According to Olivier Nduhungirehe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, at least 22 Heads of State, four Vice President and two Prime Ministers are expected to attend the inauguration which will tale place at Amahoro National Stadium. Lt Gen Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan Abdelrahman, President of Sudan TSC, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Sahle-Work Zewde, President of Ethiopia are among more Heads of State who arrived in Kigali on Sunday morning to attend the inauguration ceremony.
